Position:     MTSS Interventionist

Location:    Mayo Elementary School

Pay:     In accordance with the CBA, Wachusett Regional Education Association, Inc

 

 

The Wachusett Regional School District (WRSD) is seeking dedicated Multi-Tiered System of Supports Interventionists to join school leadership teams and support successful implementation of the curriculum. These interventionists will play a key role in promoting student success through inclusive, data-driven, and targeted instructional practices. These interventionists report to the WRSD MTSS Interventionist Specialist and principals. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support and Instruction

  • Model effective instructional strategies and lessons in the classroom setting.
  • Deliver inclusive individual and small group instruction in reading and math.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to meet students’ specific learning needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure interventions align with and support core curriculum.
  • Comfortable with developing and providing collaborative Professional Learning experience (stipend available for additional hours)
  • Serve as a liaison between administrators, teachers, counselors, and other stakeholders to design and implement supports.
  • Lead grade level PLCs to improve instructional strategies/targeted support.
  • Lead regular collaboration meetings with educators to share data, refine practices, and ensure consistency across grade-levels.
  • Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and data-driven instructional planning.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional learning to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes integrating research-based practices. 
  • Assist in interpreting screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring data to identify students in need of support.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions through the use of Panorama Student Success. 
  • Adjust intervention plans based on ongoing analysis of student performance data.
  • All duties as specified by the building principal.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Elementary 1-6; Early Childhood PreK-2; Early Childhood PreK-3; 
  • LETRS training preferred
  • Experience using the science of reading and/or math intervention strategies preferred
  • Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and data-driven instructional planning
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
